My name is Megg Rose & I’m the Founder of Deaf Women of Faith. Christian multi-talented Deaf woman; S.A.G. Actress (Screen Actors Guild) musician (ASL signer / song interpreting), dancer, licensed esthetician, certified make-up artist, director, teacher & former Miss Deaf Oregon.

When I went to the first global women’s ministry conference, I was in awe how massive the conference brought women from all over the world to worship & Glorify our Mighty King, Jesus Christ. My heart was burden by the fact as a Deaf woman who loves God, didn’t have a place like this. I was staring at the stage & I wanted to do something then that’s when God whispered, “You my child, submit all your ways to me and I will use you to Glorify me by bringing all Deaf women from all over the world together to follow me.” My last sign from God was when He used my Deaf pastor Jeff Jackson’s wife, Maura Jackson who was at the conference with me and said, “Megg, I can see you leading a Global wide Deaf Women ministry.

Ever since Maura confirmed God’s vision,I surrender my entire life to follow Jesus. I followed His directions to found Deaf Women of Faith (DWOF). He made this happen & the more I walked in obedience, the more He advanced His Kingdom. It kept growing day by day and I knew I was called to lead the Deaf women global wide. I knew that there are not enough strong DEAF leaders that truly understands who Christ really is and the Fruit of the Spirit. There has been a lot of misunderstanding & lack of proper interpretation due to not enough accessibility for the Deaf. English is our 2nd language and that can create a lot of misunderstandings of what the scriptures really means. I knew that many Deaf people are the last people on earth to hear the word of GOD due to lack of accessibility and lack of empowerment to participate in ministries. I knew God had called me to change the barriers that the Deaf are facing daily in His ministries.

I know what it’s like to grow up with no language in the home and in the church. For years I had trouble understanding what it meant to have a real relationship with Christ until I met Pastor Jeff Jackson, who is a Deaf pastor at Laurelglen Bible Church in Bakersfield, CA here. I’ve overcame so many storms in her life and she knew Jesus was the captain on her sail boat. I waited all my life to find someone who can teach me about Jesus & He used Pastor Jeff Jackson who is Deaf like me. God used JJ to help clear up all the misunderstandings over the years. When I met my husband, Michael Davis, I had learned so much spiritually and now I am more confident in my relationship with Jesus Christ. I want other Deaf women to have the same confident that I have in their relationship with Jesus Christ as their personal savior.

I was redeemed from all the pain I had to endure for years since my childhood. Now imagine how many more Deaf people are suffering from lack of accessibility to God’s word, lack of understanding of who He really is and I thank GOD for social media. I started DWOF on Facebook because I wanted to reach Deaf women global wide who doesn’t have accessibility in their hometown to hear the word of God. I started hosting DWOF events every two month to equipped other Deaf Women in the same Faith. I had visioned this ministry to be a “one stop. one spirit. one love. one faith” for all Deaf women to come together to worship, to fellowship, to be equipped and an opportunity to allow GOD to use each other for each other’s needs & to bless another. God had performed so many miracles in my life and in many lives of others who are being impacted-redeemed-saved because of the clear accessibility in American Sign Language to His word through me. It’s such a blessing for me to witness their transformation in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Being Deaf helped them believe that God did not make mistakes & they believe now that God can use them too.

I’ve been traveling all over the world to share God’s greatest through my physical illness: Autoimmune disease, Lupus, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Ileostomy & as a confident Deaf individual. It’s truly a privilege that God used my life to impact so many lives of others through my workshops, musical performances, conferences, and guest speaking engagements. If you wish to book me to come to your church or event please go to Booking page or if you have any questions please go to Contact page here.

My Deaf community knows a lot about my love for music and I have numerous of YouTube music videos to show how important worshipping God through music is vital part of our walk with Jesus Christ. It expresses the most intimate thoughts & desires in our heart. It trains us to have a thankful heart and keep our eyes on Christ.

Colossians 3:16

16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

All my life I’ve seen a lot of Deaf people who are not highly exposed with music & I want to change that through my musical performances because this is about His spirit. Music is about what our hearts sound like. I want everyone to see His spirit through my musical performances. Thanks to my grandmother who introduce me to the music world through her piano & she introduced me to one of my favorite famous movie, Sound of Music. It was the doorstep to my love for music. I’ve directed musical plays in Deaf schools and producing my own music videos where I translate music’s lyrics into ASL for my Deaf audience. I truly believes You don’t need ears to hear music, your heart will play the music. I hope that my heart will change lives out there to Jesus. I am still creating music videos for the Deaf community and, they can be found on YouTube under Megg Rose or Deaf Women of Faith. Be sure to check them out!

My favorite scripture is Jeremiah 29:11-14 because it’s exactly what He did with my life. He changed my storms into something greater. He changed them into bigger opportunities that went beyond my imagination.

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those days when you pray, I will listen. 13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. 14 I will be found by you,” says the Lord. “I will end your captivity and restore your fortunes. I will gather you out of the nations where I sent you and will bring you home again to your own land.”
